When I got grounded for bad grades, my mom told me that I could still keep my computer in my room. She told me that she wasn’t going to cut me off from having fun on it, but she was going to limit me from having friends over or going out with them until my grades improved. I took her seriously about this, mainly because I knew I needed the better grades if I was going to get into a good college. I studied hard, but I still had fun too. I found a teen video chat site that helped me when I got lonely or bored.
I wasn’t used to staying in like this. I was out all the time before, just about every night actually. If my friends and I weren’t hanging out at the local diner or at each other’s houses playing music, we would be playing ball or just goofing off at the playground.
